Since 2018, I have been part of the Events for London team, creating, designing and delivering events for the Mayor of London.

My role includes leading on the planning and delivery for London St. Patrick’s Festival and Parade, inviting 75,000 people to celebrate our patron saint in Trafalgar Square and central London.

In the last year, I have worked on developing a new concept programme called Africa in London. A summer programme, highlighting and showcasing African events in London, including an events listing on, funding for Africa cultural events and projects and a pilot mentorship scheme.

Among this, the portfolio of events include:

  • New Year’s Eve Fireworks in central London
  • Africa in London summer programme
  • Liberty Festival
  • Holocaust Memorial Day
  • #LondonUnited installation and projections
  • Millicent Fawcett statue unveiling at Parliament Square
  • Arrival: Celebrating Windrush at City Hall
  • Africa on the Square Festival at Trafalgar Square

My role is also to support the Mayor’s supported events, helping the event planner on their journey to deliver a successful event. These include:

  • March 4 Women at Trafalgar Square
  • Chinese New Year in central London
  • Pride London
  • Ramadan Tent Project
