On the 20th February at the Irish Embassy in London we officially launched the London St. Patrick’s Festival 2019. With speeches from Ambassador O’Neill, Deputy Mayor for Social Integration, Social Mobility and Community Engagement Debbie Weekes-Bernard and Catherine Casey, Chair of the Festival Community Advisory Board, the festival kicked off to an inspiring start.
I presented the full programme line up including the Camden Market Music Trail, Irish Film Festival London, Irish Walking Tours, events at the London Irish Centre and Irish Cultural Centre and the parade and festival in Trafalgar Square on Sunday 17th March 2019.
It’s my first time at the helm of this incredible event and I was honoured to reveal the programme.
We’re delighted to announce that James Nesbitt is our Grand Marshal and Angela Scanlon and BOSCO are hosting the main stage in Trafalgar Square on Sunday 17th March.
With revered chef Robin Gill of the Dairy Clapham curating our food offering, and a host of Irish dancing, bodhrán and GAA workshops for young and old alike, this is an event not to be missed!
